Outgrowing/ Like a Rose

Like a rose growing

In the crack of a rock.

I was there.

Gloriously

Phenomenally

Amazingly

Starting to root

And blossom in that space.

Starting to grow

And find it to be safe.

And like that rose...

I was

Gloriously,

Phenomenally,

Glaringly,

Out of place.

A rose needs a garden.

Not a slat in a rock.

Though a rose

(Or a weed)

May grow

And may seed

It is

held back

(Very much indeed)

All while

That rock

Will never

Concede.
